violence is not romantic or sexy. wlw do not express their love for women through violence towards women. do not ask butch/masculine women, women of color, trans women, strong or athletic women to hurt you. do not say that a woman could “beat you up and you’d thank her for it”. that isn’t cute, that isn’t a compliment, it’s ascribing violence to someone’s features without their consent while simultaneously degrading yourself. it’s dehumanizing and fetishizing.
